2. PCB

πŸ’¬ whenever you need, check out the exploded view for orientation;

The PCB gathers electronic breakouts but also serves a structural role. That means it is adjacent to several mechanical parts.

  1. place the A4988 driver on the board, observing the VMOT and GND markings to make sure it is properly oriented;

PCB + hall sensor

_DSC0524

  1. place the hall sensor;
  2. it isn’t going to hold steadily into the connector and that’s expected;

+ F_pillar

The F_pillar will make sure the hall breakout stays firm in position, while at the same time aggregating the PCB to the overall structure.

  1. place two nuts in the F_pillar slots;
  2. slide the F_pillar from the PCB side;
  3. insert 2x m3x10 with 2x washers and fasten them;

+ NEMA + G_pillar

  1. connect the NEMA harness to the stepper motor;
  2. then, connect it to the PCB;
  3. mount the G_pillar in the opposite side of the PCB;
